This stunning wedding shoot at Shropshire’s most esteemed exclusive hire wedding venue and Book Of Love directory members, Garthmyl Hall, has been brought to life by Cheshire-based, cool wedding photography duo, Stella Photography.

So, you’ve just got engaged and you’ve yet to find your dream UK wedding venue cos let’s face it, there’s A LOT of choice out there but you know one thing for sure, you don’t just want a wedding day… you want a wedding weekend with all your friends and family together, in one place. You don’t want your guests to have to faff around with transport from hotels to the ceremony, to the reception, and then back again. You’d like everyone to be stress-free and ready to party from the moment they arrive until it’s time to say goodbye.

In order for this to happen, you need to choose a wedding venue that has enough charm and enough going on to make your guests feel truly relaxed, pampered, and entertained all weekend, otherwise there’s too much pressure on you, am I right?

Exclusive hire wedding venue in Shropshire

What you need is an exclusive hire wedding venue like Shropshire’s famous, Garthmyl Hall. Quite possibly the most stylish, charming and all importantly ‘instagrammable wedding venue in the Midlands!

The luxury wedding venue offers a totally unique experience with modern couples coming from all over the country to celebrate in style. You have the whole hall exclusively for your midweek or weekend wedding with no rush, no conveyor belt weddings here! You and your guests can relax and enjoy your time from arrival to checkout and don’t worry, there's such thing as an early checkout here!

Have the wedding YOU want

In true un-wedding style, Garthmyl Hall wants you to have the wedding YOU want and not what they or anyone else dictates. Stella Photography has brought that sentiment to life by shooting with this non-traditional couple and showing us that stately homes can be just as kick-ass as any alternative wedding venue space!

You’ll have free rein on the suppliers you want use, we recommend our Book Of Love directory for that… obviously!

The team is on hand to ensure that you are looked after from start to finish. You can be as involved in the planning as you like or just sit back and leave it to Heather, Lucieanne, and Julia. Remember, the flexibility to have the wedding you want is one of the main reasons couples choose Garthmyl Hall, and the fact that no 2 weddings are ever the same here!

I love the way the creative team set the scene by choosing 3 different styles for their modern bride and groom to showcase the many different sides of Garthmyl Hall.

A torso shot of the couple on the bed. The bride is wearing a Guns N Roses T Shirt and the groom has his tattooed arms around her.

Luxurious honeymoon suite

A luxurious honeymoon suite has to be one of the perks of getting married in an exclusive hire wedding venue, right? But let’s face it, if you’ve seen one four-poster bed, you’ve seen them all!

Garthmyl Hall’s STUNNING honeymoon suite is like nothing you’ve ever seen before! Situated in its very own wing you’ll experience ultimate luxury with a huge super king size bed, plush antique furnishings, gilt sofas, dressing table, chandeliers and of course, a carousel horse which makes the perfect prop for quirky ‘on the morning’ wedding photos.

Speaking of ‘getting ready’, you’ll have access to your very own dressing room with a 7ft gilt mirror, dressing table for you and your bridesquad and stunning armoire on which to hang the most important outfit of your life! This is every bride’s dream, and every photographer’s for that matter!

Down a small set of stairs from the bedroom is the incredible en-suite bathroom with slipper bath, double vanity and amazing floral feature wall which is currently the most photographed spot in the Hall and if you aren’t already familiar with the venue then I bet you’ve seen in on Instagram! Maybe you even have it pinned to your inspiration board on Pinterest?!

Stella Photos have really brought the playfulness of this room to life, I mean as if you’re not gonna ride that horsey!

A gorgeous portrait of the bride that’s been taken from behind to show off her white halterneck dress that’s been styled with an up do and a big white bow. She’s looking towards 2 big windows in the honeymoon suite of Garthmyl Hall. They are draped with red velvet curtains.

Couple portraits

One of the most amazing wedding photo opportunity moments for any couple on their wedding day is outside the entrance to their venue, immortalising the fact that you were here on one of the most important days of your lives!

Well, Garthmyl Hall allows you to make quite a statement with your couple portraits as Stella Photography have captured perfectly here!

Let me count the ways there must be to style that staircase to make it the ultimate backdrop those all-important first-glances and entrances, portraits, group shots and selfies!

The bride and groom have really owned this space for the all-important couple portraits which don’t have to be cringe, especially with some good direction from your photographers!

An epic couple portrait outside the grand entrance to Garthmyl Hall. The bride and groom stand between 4 concrete pillars in front of the main door. There are 2 windows and 2 small, round bushes on either side of them. The brides wears a satin halterneck dress and is holding her dreid floral bouquet in the air. The groom is dress in a black suit with a bow tie.

Beautiful gardens for your wedding photos

If you aren’t choosing your wedding venue based on the photo-worthiness of the grounds then you might live to regret it. I mean, some couples like the whole brutalist architecture and street art vibe of a major city (I’m a fan) but others envision their couple portraits and group shots to be surrounded by flowers and trees and symetrical lawns and bushes… Edward Scissorhands style. Garthmyl Hall is the latter with its stunning walled gardens, a labyrinth of photo opportunities, and ceremonial backdrops! Just take your pick!

The bride and groom looking very cool in their sunglasses as they walk hand in hand through the walled garden at Garthmyl Hall. The bride is wearing a stylish white mini dress that’s low-cut with long sleeves. You can see her veil behind her slicked back dark hair and she’s holding a dried bouquet. The bearded groom is wearing a dark 3 piece suit with an open bowtie and a good old waistcoat chain.

The bride and groom styled more casually in a short, white mini dress and black suit and waistcoat. They are holding hands and walking away from the camera down some concrete steps into the beautiful walled garden at Garthmyl Hall. You can see a black iron ceremonial bandstand in front of them in the middle of a circular lawn with perfectly pointed bushes surrounding it.

The bride and groom walking away from the bandstand as though they’ve just got married IRL! The bride is wearing a short, white mini dress and her veil is blowing in the wind as she smiles at the groom. Both are wearing shades and the groom has his bow tie undone for a more casual look.

The couple looking very serious sat in 2 leather armchairs in a big window at Garthmyl Hall. They are looking right at the camera and the mixture of light and dark makes this an excellent couple portrait.

A very happy looking bride and groom relaxing on the antique green velvet sofa in the ballroom at Garthmyl Hall. You can see a glimpse of the ornate ceiling above them and a giant gold mirror that refelcts the chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

Endless styling opportunities

Remember, no 2 weddings are the same at Garthmyl Hall and I love that the creative team chose to style my favourite space - the Summerhouse! This is such a great spot for smaller gatherings during your stay… sunny breakfasts and brunches, afternoon tea, or an early evening aperitif overlooking the gardens. In fact, some couples even choose this room as the space to conduct their ceremony and you’ll understand why when you see the light!

A dired floral cloud hangs above a pink clothed table in the Summerhouse at Garthmyl Hall. The table has been styled with matching floral centre pieces and peach coloured wine glasses and candles.

The stunning dried florals by Horseshoe Flowers are an excellent idea for a wedding of epic proportions because they are easy to re-purpose in other areas over the course of the day/weekend! The neutral tones sit perfectly with the styling details of the tablescape by mother and daughter duo Stories Of Events. The chunky ridged candles and wine glasses, the elegant knot in the pink napkins… it all looks good enough to eat!

Speaking of which… those 3 free-standing arches… that’s a cake! A stylish masterpiece by Little Button Bakery not least because there are 3 of them!! Who said wedding cakes have to be tiered?!

The most incredibly stylish wedding cake ever? 3 arch shaped cakes in varying neutral tones standing on a pink clothed table with dried floral arrangements around them.

Your very own private cocktail bar

As if this imaginary wedding at Garthmyl Hall couldn’t get any better, go and put on your evening gown, loosen up that bow tie and hit the cocktail bar! And no, you don’t need to go far because it’s on-site, a hidden gem in the converted wine cellar and it’s oh so inviting!

Dimly lit for the perfect atmosphere, the intimate bar boasts its a range of soft and alcoholic drinks, chic chesterfield sofas, sheepskin throws and optional music for you and your guests to enjoy a quiet nightcap or continue to party the night away!

The bride has slipped into a long floaty white evening gown and is posing for the camera on a brown leather chesterfield sofa in the atmospheric cellar bar at Garthmyl Hall. There are 2 mustard cushions either side of her and exposed brick behind her.
