Even in the weird and wonderful world of Un-weddings, where the couples stomp to the beat of their own drums, engagement shoots can be overlooked.

Usually the images are very personal, romantic, and on the relaxed, casual side. Basically, they’re more often than not just low-key. But boy, do we have a real treat for you maximalists out there today.

The couple kissing in front of a bright turquoise door. Flecks of turquoise are in the bouquet that Fika is holding up to her chest, taking centre stage. Orchids trickle down the bouquet in front of the pale pink pearly bouquet train.

The bride to be in her pearl-encrusted dress that has puff sleeves and comes above the knee, leaning on her husband-to-be, who is wearing a dark suit with a bright coral and orange buttonhole. The bride is holding a big, colourful bouquet to match.

Fika and Doug’s engagement shoot gives off last minute in Las Vegas, super stylish micro-wedding vibe, while still holding all the romantic and personal aspects. And we are obsessed

The styling and vibes in this engagement shoot are enough for an entire wedding inspiration, let alone a pre-wedding shoot. Can you IMAGINE what F+D’s actual wedding day is going to look like?

The flowers that almost lead the way in this shoot were created by Named Floral Trendsetter, Valen Ibarra. Fika handed over complete creative freedom to Valen, with the only guidance being that she wanted it to be spring-y.

Valen was also responsible for Fika’s stunning pearl-encrusted dress, so fittingly chose pearl bedazzled flowers and a blush pink tulle train, also covered in pearls because why shouldn’t your bouquet wear a veil?! This is The Un-Wedding after all!

We’ve seen more and more of the pearl-splashed bouquet trains so we think we have Valen to thank for this new wedding trend! They didn’t win Named Floral Trendsetter for nothing, right?!

The locations around Denver were handpicked by Miranda, right down to the yellow fire hydrant and turquoise door that seriously adds to the colourful spring runaway wedding feel. Miranda knows Colorado like the back of her hand as a Colorado event planner, so even knew the perfect time of day for the lighting to make the colours pop. In fact, we think Colarado was the perfect backdrop for this beautiful city engagement shoot!

The couple dancing in the street in front of a historic, brickwork clocktower. The bride to be is holding up her bouquet above her head, with the pearl bouquet train hanging down. They're both laughing and holding hands.

With a couple of shots in a vintage theatre, it perfectly tops off the rock’n’roll, kids in love feel to the whole shoot.
