Our mission is to fill your big day with the things you truly love and not what you’re told you should have so, whether veganism is a big part of your life, or you want to be more conscious with your choices when it comes to your big day you may be considering having a vegan wedding. Making your wedding day vegan is so much more than just about the food choices you make and we’re here to give you some top tips on how to do it.

Catering

Vegan cuisine is so much more than it used to be, and its availability is increasing by the day. Hurrah! There are now many caterers that are loud and proud about their all-vegan yummy grub for your vegan wedding, so they’re a great place to start! If you already have a caterer in mind or you are working with your venue caterers, then open a conversation and speak to them about your preferences. Most venues will be willing to work with you when it comes to your choice of food. Bear in mind that vegan catering also includes where the food is sourced too. This also applies to your cake, do some research and chat with your chosen suppliers.

Outfits

Wedding dresses, suits, bridesmaid dresses, if you want them to be vegan friendly then you need to do some research. This comes down to the manufacturing process and the fabrics used. Organic cotton, linen, hemp, and soy silk are all considered vegan fabrics so look for these when you are searching. Again, there are companies that work solely on an eco and sustainable basis so they will offer amazing vegan-friendly outfits for your vegan wedding. A bespoke dress or suit means that you can control some of these aspects and choosing vintage is also a great option too.

Hair and Makeup

Your hair and makeup is a personal thing and there are numerous ways you can make sure it’s vegan. Find a supplier who works with vegan hair and makeup products; there are some that work solely with vegan products and some that will have this option available. If it’s not clear that they offer it then ask them. If you love a particular hair and makeup stylist and they don’t use vegan products, you could ask if they are willing to use them or you could provide your own. Remember you can always do your own hair and makeup and source your vegan products before your wedding day.

Styling

Hiring is the key when it comes to your decorations, so the more you can hire the better, plus this helps small businesses too. Look for products that are vegan-friendly and made of cotton, linen, and muslin. If you are having candles, make sure they are soy and real flowers are the way to go!
