Hi! I’m Helen, an accredited Humanist Celebrant based ‘up North’ in Leeds, Yorkshire.

As I believe this is our one and only life, I wholeheartedly encourage you to live your best life, especially when it comes to celebrating a key occasion in life like getting married.

As I see it, life is to be enjoyed and is way too short for boring weddings as a guest but even more importantly as the couple getting wed. The same goes for making choices related to your wedding to please others or because you think you should or ought to (if you choose to work with me you will soon learn that these words are banned from my vocabulary!)

My ceremonies are all written from the heart and with you and your love centre stage. I am a huge musical theatre lover (check out my socials if you are too and like memes!) but don’t worry this doesn’t mean you have to perform! I will spend loads of time getting to know you to understand exactly what you want from your day. I present tonnes of options from how you enter the ceremony space to how you share your vows so that you can choose the ways that are most meaningful and most authentic to you.

I pride myself on my ceremonies being 100% inclusive, celebrating love in all its forms, giving you a safe space that is an authentic and unapologetic reflection of you and your love.

Although, I do like to say your wedding day is ‘all about you’ (apologies for any McFly earworm there), my ceremonies certainly don’t neglect your guests. In fact, I like to think that I I bring a new meaning to the phrase ‘wedding party’! I guarantee your guests will love your ceremony as it won’t just be that boring, legal bit to get over and done with before starting the party. A ceremony with me is the start of the party and I often get feedback that my weddings were the best and most fun guests have experienced.

Whether you want to have your daughter cartwheel down the aisle, your pooch as ring bearer or want to celebrate your union with a round of tequila shots for your guests, I will make it happen so you are sure to have the best day ever!
