Styling & Concept Callie Pettigrew

The contemporary loft & gallery space of Mortimer House, Fitzrovia is the perfect space for this opulent micro-wedding tablescape. Styled by London based event stylist, Callie Pettigrew featuring ‘good enough to eat’ fruity florals from Salad Studios, this inspirational shoot shows couples how to make the most impact with their intimate setting.

This crazy pandemic that we find ourselves in has put many restrictions on the couples still getting married in 2020. It’s currently not possible for couples to have the huge celebrations they planned but that doesn’t mean that they can’t still create a WOW factor with some of their details!

The modern, contemporary interior at Mortimer House is a great backdrop, full of tropical plants and luxe materials, not to mention exceptional views of the city from their various balcony spaces. The juxtaposition between the tropical elements and the urban setting creates a sexy paradise in the city.

The styling centred around a warm colour palette of pink, orange and yellow, mixed beautifully with touches of deep green foliage and lime green accents for ultimate tropical vibes.

All tableware was provided by Maison Margaux who have the most incredible pieces available to hire for any event. We chose a base of simple, classic pieces, mixed with unique coloured glassware and floral inner plates, for an elegant, but playful dining set up. We also included rattan placemats for added texture, and tortoiseshell cutlery for a modern edge. Colourful candles added height and complimented the floral runner.

Salad Studios used a range of tropical and british flowers to mimic the mesh of the two worlds. Founder, Sally, used the colour palette of pinks, oranges and yellows to create quirky tropical flowers paired with local seasonal blooms such as pink cosmos, burgundy amaranthus and structural yellow fennel. The vibrant colours of flowers really complimented the opulent fresh fruit which was used throughout the styling.
